Another beautiful bride and another fabulous wedding today at the Helena Wedding Chapel. May appears to be Lucky Train month at the chapel! So many brides don’t get the lucky train, and this week we’ve had two!
Family and friends from everywhere gathered to see Rene and Steve say their vows and become husband and wife.

Kristi & Jeff

Tonight’s wedding was a very special occasion. I hope the Bride and Groom don’t mind, but I’m going to tell a little bit of their story.
Kristi is going through chemo. She had surgery to remove the cancer. She has had one of the worst weeks ever. She called on Monday, when the wedding was originally supposed to take place, and with tears in her voice asked if she could postpone. Of course, we said! Whatever you need! We want you to feel pretty for your wedding, not just come make it happen!
So, we waited, and today, she felt up to it. The wedding was small, just the Bride, Groom, the children Mary, and Samuel. Samuel didn’t realize the wedding was actually happening, even though he walked mom down the aisle. He thought we were doing a rehearsal. Children make some situations the best ever with their perceptions of how things should be. Miss Mary made a beautiful bridesmaid. We have no doubt she will be a beautiful bride one day as well.
Jeff saw no reason to wait, and just said to Kristi, cancer or no cancer, let’s just do it! So off they went to get their license, and then they came to see us. The got lucky rain, a lucky train, and lucky in love.
