What a fun wedding! The chapel’s first holy matrimonial roasting of the marshmallows took place today! The couple lit their unity candle with roasted marshmallows!

The wedding was a grand affair. The bride dressed in a classic old movie star style dress and veil. The groom was quite dapper himself! The couple spoke vows they had written themselves, and real heartfelt emotion was heavy in the air. The bride wore her great-grandmother’s necklace dated 1899.

The reception at Ross Bridge was amazing! Truly, the people who pulled that reception together deserve some sort of world record!

Family and friend gathered to watch Sandee and Craig exchange vows. A beautiful, simple ceremony was all they wished for. The staff had to say they have never seen a more excited groom in their lives. Craig was thrilled to be getting married today!

This Grand Gala wedding was blessed with a lucky train, and rain! Ashley had the dream of getting married in a “Mid-summer Night’s Dream” forest. Tracy Murphy of Southeastern Rentals made that happen for her! The chapel was transformed for a night into a mystical fairyland just for her.

The reception was held in Five Points at Zydeco! The entire family had a grand time celebrating the union of Ashley and Michael!

What a beautiful day for an Old Town Helena waterfall wedding. The Helena Wedding Chapel was proud to perform Tadie and Craig’s Gala Wedding at the waterfall today. Casual Hawaiian shirt was the theme, and fun was had by all. The weather held out just fine, and Tadie had the outside wedding that she wanted. Quite a few family and friend gathered around, even her Great Great Grandmother was in attendance. The world’s neatest groom’s cake awaited the couple at their reception.

Emily’s christening

Miss Emily was born 3 weeks ago. Her mommy, Candace, and daddy, Brian proudly held her as she was christened at the chapel today. Her God Parents are Chris and Shannon. Family and friends came to witness the christening and show their support as Emily was dedicated to God.

Babies are a special gift from God. This celebration was especially precious to Emily’s family. We are proud to have shared in the moment. Right as the ceremony began, a train came by to bestow good luck on Emily.

The staff at the Helena Wedding Chapel just loves weddings that have fun families. The bride and groom’s families were so much FUN we just didn’t want it to end. It is nice when you go to take a photo of someone, and they actually smile and pose for you rather than running away. Little things like that make wedding slideshows so much more interesting and so not run of the mill. Couple that with such personable and open people as this crowd from the Bayou of Louisiana. Even the father of the bride still is a player after all these years! He snuggled up with our minister and gave her an appreciative kiss on the cheek after the wedding.

This couple drove all the way from Mississippi to get married at the Helena Wedding Chapel in Old Town.

Evidently, Cliff really wanted to make sure that Lauren was the one. So after seven years of dating, he finally had his mind made up that only Lauren would do! They had a great, happy ceremony, with lots of laughs. AND during the ceremony, they got a lucky train!

Of course, the wedding chapel staff just loves Basic I Do weddings, and we photographed the happy couple as long as they would let us. We enjoy weddings more than the couples do sometimes!
