Adria & Dale

Adria and Dale exchanged vows in front of family and friends today. Adria wore the most beautiful wedding gown the staff had ever seen. Dale wore the biggest smile we have seen on a groom. The happy couple had a wonderful reception at The Wine Loft.

Julie & Jacob — Atlanta

Julie and Jacob wed today at the Gwinett Environmental and Heritage center. A 400 acre facility north of Atlanta, with one of the neatest buildings that has a river running through it. The couple wed on the bridge. A reception was held in the Ivy room. Then the couple drove away in a 1961 Bentley to begin their new life. Another interesting factoid about the Heritage center, the entire building was made from recycled materials. To look at it, you would never guess that was a fact.
Congratulations you two!! Be happy!

Lynn and Casey had a fabulous Gala Wedding today with family and friends coming from everywhere. Casey ships out shortly, and Lynn is going with him! The reception was held at the Hoover Met, home of the Barons baseball team!
We have to say, that we had some fun in the sky box taking photos of some 2nd Amendment objects!

Tucker

Tucker’s mommy and daddy were married at the Helena Wedding Chapel quite a while back. Mom brought young Tucker in for his photographic debut.
Now, the parents are Auburn, but the grandparents are Alabama. It will be interesting to see when Tucker returns to the Chapel with his own bride in a few decades to ask him which school he decided to attend.

Amanda & Mitch

The bride wore white, and the groom wore green. Mitch is an active member of the United States armed forces. Amanda is a nurse. Two people who dedicate their lives to service to others and their country were wed today at the Helena Wedding Chapel.
Amanda almost didn’t make it down the aisle. When she and Mitch saw each other for the first time today as her father walked her down the aisle, the love was almost too much for her to handle. With several pauses, a few tears, and her father’s arm for support, Amanda finally made it to the altar to wed her groom. There was not a dry eye in the entire chapel today. When a couple this in love marry one another, it is felt by everyone present.
Congratulations you two! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!

Amy & Justin

Today’s wedding was not merely a wedding. It was an EVENT. Two Helena Wedding Chapel volunteers wed each other today. Amy and Justin. Everyone pitched in everything they had to give and this was hands down the most grand wedding the chapel has ever seen.
The couple themselves are so well matched they are like a hand in a glove. Adventure surely awaits them as they share the journey of life with each other.
The Bride wore a custom made dress by Eccentric Bride. The groom wore a top hat and tails. The entire wedding party and some of the guests dressed in the chosen theme: Steam Punk. The colors the couple chose were Royal Blue and Black.
Gretchen B was today’s photographer at the wedding chapel. Gretchen is one of the finest high end photographers in Alabama, and she lives and works right here in Helena. The Helena Wedding Chapel wants to extend a great big THANK YOU to Gretchen for her expert services as a photographer for today’s wedding, since two of our volunteer photographers were a little busy getting married to each, and the third was unfortunately, unable to skip the day job to participate.
Mike Johnson was today’s videographer. Mike is a very talented individual, and he captured the event on video for the bride and groom. Mike, THANK YOU!
The reception was held at La Reunion, an Old Town favorite in Helena. THANK YOU, Robin and Dale!
Family and friends pitched in and everyone brought their ‘A’ game to this wedding. Flowers, food, etc where wonderful. A champagne toast topped of the afternoon! To the parents of the bride: Darryl, and Tunga, and to the parents of the groom: Marcia, and Mike…..THANK YOU for everything you guys did from rehearsal dinner to reception to gifts, and so much more.
Old Car Heaven provided today’s get away car. A 1937 Cadillac convertible! Jock Webb was kind enough to be the driver for the happy couple. The couple rode away in fairy tale style. An extra special THANK YOU to Old Car Heaven, Jock, and the owner for their kind participation!

Rebecca & Eric

What a fun couple! What a fun family! Rebecca and Eric had a great wedding! The bride and her daughter wore identical wedding dresses. Eric kneeled and gave Lizzy, his new daughter a wedding ring too.
Then it was on to the reception. A wonderful family pitching in reception, and probably the neatest groom’s cake we’ve ever seen. A very talented family musician provided live music. Fun and family were everywhere.
The bride and groom took a short walk down to the waterfall after the wedding, and decided to dip their toes in the river, making for a great photograph!

Misty & Dan

Misty and Dan were one of the few very lucky couples to get two good luck trains in the middle of their ceremony! Dan pulled a tricky fast one on his bride with a ring she did not expect in the middle of the ceremony. The box even lit up! On a sad note, Misty is leaving the Deep South to go live with her love in a land far far away! We hope she remembers her ruby slippers!
